Core Processing - Application Developer Technical LeadAs a Application Developer Lead on the Tandem Authorizations team, you'll have overall responsibilities to:

* What You'll Do: As a Application Developer Lead on the Tandem Authorizations team, you'll have overall responsibilities to:
* Provide technical leadership to teams of a small to moderate size.
* Provide day-to-day direction, mentor, and provide technical guidance to other Application Developers and Senior Application Developers on the team.
* Direct other team members and coordinate the activities of a technical team on specific efforts to drive project deliverables
* Lead all components of the development life cycle and work directly with other members of the development, project management and business teams to achieve project goals.
* Take ownership and accountability for the technical team's deliverables in all phases of the development lifecycle.
* Develop code in support of one or more of the Authorization subsystems at Chase Card Services
* Work within Chase Card Services prescribed development methodologies and standards
* Maintain compliance with IS Change Management, Software Development Life Cycle and development standards including leading code reviews, developing and reviewing implementation plans and contingency plans.
* Maintain disaster recovery plans and lead and participate in disaster recovery tests.
* Stay abreast of new technology and methods to optimize development for the enterprise.
* Become knowledgeable and familiar with the overall Chase Authorization platform, and subject matter expert on your particular subsystem. On a day-to-day basis, you'll be expected to:
* Develop in-depth technical specification documents from business requirements
* Build, test, and implement application code for strategic and complex applications.
* Develop error free, highly efficient code that complies with all code standards and methodologies.
* Develop unit test plans and scripts and execute test scripts to ensure correctness.
* Work with the project managers and business clients to understand and provide signoff to business requirements documents.
* Provide production support for the suite of applications by participating on a rotating on-call production support schedule.
* Provide technical and programming support and mentoring to Application Developers.
* Participate in Application Developer and peer code reviews.
* Support changes/applications post implementation by debugging, fixing, and participating in maintenance releases as needed.


Requirements

What We're Looking For: The Chase Core Card Services team is looking for Application Developer Leads for our Tandem Authorization team. Strong candidates will possess:
* Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field of study or equivalent relevant experience in mainframe programming
* 5 - 10 years of progressive experience in Information Technology
* 5 -10 years of experience with large Tandem applications utilizing knowledge of Tandem Systems/OS, TAL, Scobol and Cobol
* 3 years of experience leading development teams.
* Extensive experience with change management, implementation planning and release management.
* Extensive experience in code management and versioning methodologies with experience with a leading code management tool.
* 5 years of credit card point-of-sale authorization processing experience and TSYS knowledge are required.
* In-depth understanding of the credit card processing, real-time point-of-sale authorization processing and a broad knowledge on the TSYS platforms
* Good oral and written communication skills.
* Strong problem solving and analytical skills
* Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.
