The Corporate Internet Group (CIG) supports public Internet sites for all lines of business within J. P. Morgan Chase. CIG is comprised of over 400 professionals located in Delaware, New York, Ohio, Florida and Illinois. The group consists of senior business strategists, developers, infrastructure and architecture specialists, information architects, usability professionals, interactive designers, editors and other project support and operations staff. CIG works closely with all lines of business including: Auto Lending, Business Banking, Card Services, Commercial Banking, Education Finance, Home Lending, Investing, Private Bank, Private Client Services, Retail and Treasury. J.P. Morgan Chase's online sites are currently among the top ranked in the industry. CIG's goal is to provide consistent, integrated internet applications that are intuitive, dependable and easy to use for all customers. As an Application Developer within the JP Morgan Chase Corporate Internet Group (CIG) Move Money development team, you will provide high quality technology solutions that address business needs by developing applications within mature technology environments. You will utilize mature programming methodologies and languages and adhere to coding standards, procedures and techniques while contributing to the technical code documentation. The Application Developer position in CIG will be responsible for supporting the development of presentation layer, middleware and/or batch applications utilized by Chase Online , internal support tools and other CIG supported sites related to presentation, execution and fulfillment of financial transactions including Bill Payments, ACH, Wires, Tax, Payroll, Transfers and Overnight Checks. This position requires a high level of education and related development expertise with internet based programming architectures and Object Oriented principles. Responsibilities include:

* Assist in documentation and development of application and database changes or updates related to projects, small work requests and production issue resolution

* Participate in design of changes and research related to production issue resolution

* Perform unit and integration testing of code changes and support resolution of defects from unit, integration, quality assurance and user acceptance testing

* Track task assignment progress and deliverables accurately using Microsoft project and project server

* Mentoring of less-experienced resources


Requirements

* Degree from an accredited university in computer science or related field plus 2-3 years of relevant experience or 5 years relevant application development experience

* Strong analysis, coding, testing and debugging skills

* Solid experience in .J2EE programming and design techniques; some additional experience with C# .using Microsoft .Net framework preferred

* Experience in development, delivery and maintenance of web services

* Solid experience working with relational database principals; Some expertise working with Oracle and/or SQL Server database schema design and development of stored procedures

* Knowledge of version and revision control practices and procedures

* Excellent communication skills

* Self- motivated and able to work with minimal oversight or supervision
